Spondylosis is a term used to describe degenerative changes that occur in the articular components of the spine. For cases of spondylosis, photographs of the lumbosacral vertebrae are examined using AP, lateral and oblique projections. At the Radiology Installation at the University of North Sumatra Hospital, dynamic lumbosacral projections are carried out, namely Antero Posterior (AP) projection, Lateral Flexion and Lateral Extension projection. The aim of this research is to determine the examination technique and the role of lumbosacral dynamics in lumbosacral examination with spondylosis in the USU Hospital Radiology Installation. The type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach using descriptive methods, carried out at the USU Hospital Radiology Installation. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Data processing and analysis takes the form of data reduction stages, presenting data in the form of open coding and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the lumbosacral radiographic examination technique was carried out using Antero Posterior (AP), Lateral Flexion and Lateral Extension projections. The role of the dynamix lumbosacral projection in lumbosacral examination of spondylosis cases at the USU Hospital Radiology Installation. The AP projection is to find the classification of osteophytes in the corpus, to see the alignment of the spine, to see narrowing of the invertebral discs, to see compression, to see whether there is bone destruction and whether there are masses or tumors in the soft tissue. The procedure for radiographic examination of the Lumbosacral Vertebrae in cases of lumbar spondylosis at the Radiology Installation of the North Sumatra University Hospital is to use basic projections, namely Antero Posterior (AP) and Lateral. If the basic Lateral position cannot be used because the patient's condition does not allow it, you can choose an alternative position, namely Lateral projection. Horizontal Beam.
